Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Comment Artist for Android ("Comment Artist" or the "App") handles information. The App is developed and provided by SungHoon Lee (이성훈) ("Developer" or "Service Provider") as a free app and is provided as is.

Information the App Uses

The current version of the App processes information locally on your device to provide its features. This may include:

  • images that you select through Android's photo picker;
  • text that you type and drawings that you create in the App;
  • generated braille-style text art, including edits that you choose to copy or save;
  • local library metadata, such as output name, source type, row and column count, selected format or preset, favorite status, creation time, and an internal deduplication key; and
  • App settings, such as language and theme preferences.

The App uses Android's photo picker so you choose the image to share with the App. The App does not request access to your full photo library.

Selected images, entered text, drawings, generated outputs, saved library items, and settings are processed on your device. The App does not upload them to the Developer's servers.

The current App package does not request Android's Internet permission and is not designed to transmit your content or usage data to a server.

The App does not require an account. The Developer does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, account information, or other personal identifiers through the App.

The App does not request or collect precise or approximate location, contacts, messages, call logs, camera or microphone data, advertising ID, usage analytics, crash reports, IP address, or device diagnostics.

The App does not use artificial intelligence (AI), remote AI services, or cloud processing services to process your data or provide features.

Clipboard

When you tap a copy action, the App places the generated braille-style text on your device's system clipboard at your direction. After that, the clipboard is handled by Android, your keyboard, apps where you paste the content, and your device settings.

Third-Party Services and Links

The current version of the App does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not periodically transmit aggregated or anonymized usage data to external services.

The Developer does not collect, receive, sell, or share your personal information through the App.

The App may include links to external websites, such as open-source license pages. If you choose to open an external link, that website or browser is governed by its own terms and privacy practices.

Your Choices

You can stop the App's local processing of information by uninstalling it. You can also remove locally stored App data by clearing the App's storage in Android settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

Selected images, entered text, and drawings are used to generate output on your device. The App does not store the original selected image as a library file.

Saved outputs and settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's storage, uninstall the App, or older saved outputs are removed by the App's local library limit.

You can delete saved outputs from the App's library. Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App removes the locally stored library and settings from that device.

Because Android backup is currently allowed for the App, Android or your device manufacturer may include app-private saved outputs and settings in device backup, restore, or device-to-device transfer if those features are enabled on your device. The Developer does not operate or access those backups.

Content copied to the system clipboard remains there until it is overwritten, cleared, or otherwise removed by Android, another app, or your device settings.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

Security

Saved outputs and settings are stored in the App's local app-private storage area provided by Android. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, but the current version of the App is designed so that your content is processed locally unless you choose to copy it to the system clipboard, open an external link, or use Android backup or device-transfer features controlled by your device.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When it is updated, the effective date above will be changed. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.

Your Consent

By using the App, you acknowledge the handling of information described in this Privacy Policy.
